Dr. Vil’anilam was also on the Editorial Advisory Board of the world-renowned international journal of communication, GAZETTE, published by the Netherlands Press Foundation and University of Amsterdam. Media Asia (Singapore), Gazette(Amsterdam), Journal of Communication (U.S.), Journalism Quarterly(U.S.) Journalism Educator (U.S.),Communicator (IIMC, New Delhi) and Media, Culture and Society (London) have carried several of his articles. Almost all the leading newspapers and periodicals of India have published his articles on topics as varied as literature and communication, history of journalism, journalism education, occupational safety and health, work-related diseases, advertising, rubber technology, etc., besides poems, short stories and light essays. Occasionally, Dr.Vil’anilam gives talks or participates in programmes of the All India Radio (AIR) on a number of topics of current interest. Besides, he has conducted interviews or has been interviewed on Doordarshan, India’s national television.
